Job Description
Responsible for the control, production and quality of project pipeline deliverables and ensuring that all deliverables are is-sued in accordance with the project schedule and in accordance with the RSME Quality Management System
Prepare EDDR and WBS for Pipeline Discipline
Conducting all the pipeline engineering calculations entailing wall thickness calculation, equivalent pressure check, bend thinning, buckling, crossing calculations and hydrostatic pressure calculation, etc.
Develop Onshore Pipeline engineering activities in tender and execution project phase within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards.
Ensure technical supervision over Construction activities to bring the Design into full compliance with the Contract and the Scope of Work.
Engineering review of Alignment Drawings, Crossing & Typical Pipeline Drawings, Station Approach Drawings, etc.
Review and integrate comments and inputs of other engineering discipline into the relevant pipeline documents.
Presenting design information to contractors prior to performance of the work, to ensure scope and technical require-ments are understood by construction contractors.
Preparation and issue of material specifications, data sheets and inquiry requisitions to vendors for pipeline items (Line Pipe, Bends, Barred Tee, Isolating Joints, Anchor Flange, Valves, Internal & External Coating).
Prepare material take off for pipeline scope.
Prepare technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor data review, material and equipment inspections etc.
Reviewing and approving contractor technical documentation, including material procurement datasheets, method state-ments, and temporary facilities design.
Ensure meeting vendor equipment specifications as per client equipment specifications and within budgeted costs.
Provide smooth interface between Engineering Office team and Construction Site team. Ensure interfaces with project team and other Company function during the project execution.
Participate in site surveys required for field engineering for assisting construction works.
Review and approval of Pipeline Pre-Construction Survey Reports.
Review and approval of Contractor Method Statements for ROW Construction, Stringing, Bending, Mainline Welding, Field Joint Coating, Lowering, Pre-padding, Post-padding, Backfilling, Windrow & Marker Post Installation, ROW Reinstate-ments, Cleaning & Gauging, Hydrostatic Testing, Drying & Nitrogen Purging, As-Built Survey and Final Caliper Survey.
Effectively coordinate with Customers / Clients, to timely resolve technical queries, deviations and design changes.
Must possess interpersonal skills to be able to coordinate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Ability to communicate with engineers and designers
Ability to accept and follow instructions correctly.
Ability to self-motivate and improve personal technical skills through personal or company training, re-search and study, and to be resourceful in searching/upgrading technical knowledge.
High level of accuracy
Good command of English and strong communication skills
At least have minimum 2 years’ continuous experience on ADNOC Onshore projects.
Knowledge of pipeline engineering related Shell DEP and International Codes and Standards
Demonstrate specific knowledge and practice of ASME B31.4 and B31.8 and applicable ASME standards, design, construction, operation, pipeline analysis.
